Life brings many challenges, but none quite as irritating as folding a fitted sheet. How do you neatly fold something without any corners — and without structure, for that matter? While it’s tempting to crumple the sheet into a ball and stuff it into the closet, learning how to fold a fitted sheet is a lot simpler than you might think.
Step 1: Flip the Sheet

Turn the sheet inside out.
Step 2: Hold the Sheet Up

Hold the sheet with the length of it across your body and place your hands inside two corners, facing out.
Step 3: Tuck the Right Corner Over the Left

Take the corner in your right hand to the left side. Fold the right corner over the left corner to face the right side out.
Step 4: Repeat With the Other Two Corners

Reach down and tuck the bottom two corners the same way. Your sheet should now be folded in half.
Step 5: Repeat Once More

Place your hands in the two remaining corners and repeat Step 3. All four corners should now be folded into each other.
Step 6: Lay the Sheet Flat

Lay your folded sheet onto a flat surface, such as a table, countertop, or bed. The elastic should be visible in a rainbow shape.
Step 7: Fold the Sheet

Fold your sheet by bringing the bottom half to just over the visible elastic. The sheet should now resemble a triangle in the center, with the point on top.
Step 8: Fold Once More

Fold the top half down so that it completely covers the bottom half.
Step 9: Fold in thirds

Fold the sheet in thirds so it is a small rectangle that can be perfectly stored in your linen closet.
