Frigid weather has arrived, and the days of wearing nothing but a swimsuit on a hot, sunny beach with a blended beverage in hand are long gone. (But, also — how many days until summer?) However, being cold 24/7 isn’t a foregone conclusion. You can feel nice and toasty with proper layering and the right cold-weather gear, even with a raging blizzard or negative temperatures outside. Here are some comfy clothing options to help you stay warm all winter, from gloves and thermal joggers to puffer coats and snow boots.

Heated Gloves
In extremely cold conditions, regular gloves may fall short. That’s when it’s time to take things up a notch with a pair of heated gloves. These rechargeable gloves have a built-in heating mechanism that keeps your hands nice and toasty for hours. The gloves are waterproof, comfortable, and ideal for any ski trip or wintry stroll.
Sherpa-Lined Shirt
Sherpa-lined shirts are highly versatile and can be worn everywhere, from around the house to underneath a jacket for added heat. The lining mimics the warmth of sheepskin, making this a great layering option.
Wearable Blanket
Wearable blankets are oversized hoodies that are lined with thick Sherpa material. They’re great for providing heat while curled up in a ball on the couch or even walking around the house doing chores.
Puffer Jacket
Puffer jackets are warm and easy to transport, as they fold down compactly and can fit inside any backpack or suitcase. What makes puffer jackets so great for winter is that they contain a thick layer of down feathers to block out the cold. They’re perfect for layering on over a fleece or shielding against cold, gusting winds.
Fleece Jogger Pants
Fleece-lined jogger pants are a must for people who want to continue their morning outdoor runs and walks in the winter or have to shovel a show-filled driveway. Best of all, they double as lounge pants for inside the house.
Thermal Underwear
Staying warm during winter is all about layering, and there’s no better base layer than thermal underwear. Not only will it keep you nice and toasty, but thermal underwear is thin enough that your other clothes won’t look bulky.
Electric Scarf
The head and neck have higher blood flow than the rest of the body, so investing in a good scarf is important — and there’s nothing hotter than an electric scarf. This scarf reaches temperatures as high as 149 degrees Fahrenheit, providing the neck with incredible warmth even amid freezing temps.
Wool Socks
The feet lose body heat when it’s cold outside, so wool socks are a key base layer for any cold-weather outfit. Despite their thickness, wool socks are still breathable and comfortable.
Snow Boots
With snow on the ground, everyday sneakers won’t cut it. Snow boots will give you proper traction for slippery conditions and a thick layer of puff insulation to keep your feet warm and dry.
Balaclava
Rather than buy a separate knit cap and scarf, protect your entire face with a single item: a balaclava. This comfortable face mask covers the head, neck, nose, mouth, and ears, ensuring optimal warmth. Balaclavas are also a comfortable insulating layer underneath ski helmets.
