Cold Feet? Try These Cozy Slippers

Bare feet on (gasp!) hardwood floors during the winter? Not a chance. If you want to feel cozier at home, the quickest and easiest way is to throw on a pair of slippers. Not only are they an opportunity to make your loungewear more stylish, but they also feel so good on, whatever type of floors you’re gliding around in them on. 

Plenty of options are available, so we narrowed it down to some of our favorites. I finally purchased a pair of these Ugg slippers, and I can’t believe I waited this long. Equal parts comfortable and stylish, they’re crafted with a smooth suede upper, pure wool insole, and warm sheepskin lining. They also have a lightweight rubber outsole that allows you to wear them outdoors — I like to throw them on to run quick errands — without worrying much about ruining them. These slippers are so good I plan on buying them for my younger sisters this holiday season (don’t worry, I already told them).

Bombas Gripper Slipper Booties

Consider Bombas’ Gripper Slipper Booties if you want something cushy that prevent slips and falls, thanks to their grippy, stay-put bottoms. They’re available in nine fun shades and feature a pillowy-soft footbed, a cozy sherpa lining, and a chunky ankle-length cuff. I plan on ordering a pair (or two) for the older adults in my life, as I know they’ll love them.

Crocs Classic Cozzzy Slippers

Although Crocs is famous for its rubber slip-on shoes, you shouldn’t overlook its Cozzzy Slippers. Featuring faux fur shearling, a padded footbed, and a sturdy rubber outsole, these are one pair of slippers you’ll never want to take off. And don’t worry, they also come with the brand’s recognizable back heel strap that helps keep your foot better secured during each step.

Evshine Fuzzy Open-Toe Slippers

If open-toe slippers are more up your alley, this affordable pair is an excellent choice. Some of its eye-catching details include its fluffy faux fur upper, memory foam footbed, and a solid anti-skid sole. Their bottoms are also waterproof, making them great for quick runs outside (like to the mailbox). Isotoner, the famous New York City brand that started over 100 years ago, was my family’s go-to for slippers and gloves. If you want to try the brand out or want to expand your collection, check out this popular pair that you can slide into quickly thanks to its comfortable open-back design. They’re done in a classic moccasin style, have a gel-infused memory foam sole, and include a nifty front pull tab to make getting these on even more effortless. My boyfriend has a pair of these and wears them for quick trips to the corner store, which is made possible by their durable indoor/outdoor sole. Just throw them in the washing machine and air dry when they get dirty.

FOCO NFL Logo Memory Foam Slippers

I purchased these as a gift for someone in my family a couple of years ago, and they were a big hit. Emblazoned with your (or your giftee’s) favorite football team, these sports-theme slippers are a great match for watching Sunday football at home in pajamas. They have an all-over waffle knit upper, an embroidered team logo, a cushioned memory foam insole, and a gripped outsole to help prevent slipping and sliding.

Isotoner Women’s Ballet Flat Slippers

These were my favorite style of house slippers when I was younger, and I have found myself buying a pair for myself or a family member repeatedly over the years. Cute and dainty, these slippers have a micro terry cloth upper, a secure fit design thanks to its elasticized topline, and a comfortable yet durable suede sole. They match wonderfully with two-piece satin pajama sets and lace-trimmed nightgowns.

L.L. Bean Sweater Fleece Slippers

L.L. Bean’s personalized canvas totes may have caught the world’s attention by storm, but the brand doesn’t skimp when it comes to slippers, either. This sweater fleece option, which comes in bright navy, gray heather, and mountain red, is made with a thick knit upper, a toasty brushed fleece interior, and a molded outsole that allows for outdoor wear.
